Catalogue raisonné Ricco Wassmer
The Museum of Fine Arts in Berne is currently elaborating a ‚catalog raisonné’ of the Swiss painter Ricco (Erich) Wassmer (1915-1972) that is to be printed next year. For this reason we are searching all the paintings by this artist (we know of the existence of approximately 500 paintings to this date).
We are looking for:
- early works in a cubist manner
- paintings dated in the 1930ies that explore religious themes (including the
interpretation of old masters) or nudes
- still lifes
- his mature work that began to surface as early as 1942 which could be
described as "fantastic realism"
