Exhibitions In the Cabinet: From Ingres to Cézanne: French Drawings of the 19th century 13 October 2009 - 10 January 2010

Although the collection of 19th- and early 20th-century drawings and watercolors by international artists in the Kunstmuseum Bern is not large, it is of exceptionally high quality.

We wish to acquaint the public with these works in a sequence of thematically loosely related presentations in the next few years.

The first in this exhibition program is a selection of works by French artists of the 19th century, spanning the period of Neoclassicism to Post-impressionism.

Curator: Samuel Vitali
