ADVISORY BOARD


The Advisory Board for Provenance Research advises the Kunstmuseum Bern Foundation in fundamental matters of provenance research and may give recommendations to the Board of Dachstiftung Kunstmuseum Bern – Zentrum Paul Klee.

Primary focus is the orientation and development of the Provenance-Research Department regarding research on the museum’s collection and the collections of associated foundations. The Advisory Board oversees the integration of the Cornelius Gurlitt Legacy into the museum’s collections.

The Advisory Board meets with the Steering Committee for Provenance Research.

Dr. Herbert Winter, Lawyer, former President of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities, Zurich

STEERING COMMITTEE

The Steering Committee determines the strategic direction and ensures freedom in decision-making. Members of the Steering Committee define the fields of work and determine the middle- and long-term orientation, and thereby the further development, of the Provenance-Research Department. The decisions of the Steering Committee require the consent of the Board of Trustees for the Dachstiftung Kunstmuseum Bern – Zentrum Paul Klee.
